Continuous Improvement Technician

The Continuous Improvement Technician will be responsible for monitoring and improving CNC processes, troubleshooting issues, calibrating equipment, and designing control systems. Day-to-day tasks will include process control, instrumentation management, and ensuring systems are running efficiently and accurately. The technician will work closely with the production team to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.

Essential Functions

  • Performs project work to support implementation of Lean principles regarding all CNC/Robotic Cutting Operations.
  • Evaluates work process flow using Lean Tools to improve efficiency and through-put.
  • Lead, assist, and participate on Kaizen teams.
  • Train and mentor team members on operating and maintaining CNC/Robotic Equipment.
  • Develop cut programs using Engineered Drawings and Models.
  • Define Best Tooling Options for Efficient Machine Operations.
  • Evaluate Material Utilization and Adjust to meet production needs.
  • Develop Machine Calibration and Maintenance Requirements and ensure they are followed.
  • Maintain Cut File Organization.
  • Assist in daily/weekly/monthly activities to ensure that company objectives are met and maintained.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, college course work preferred
  • Knowledge of Kaizen and implementation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Fish Bone and 5 Why
  • Process Analysis: TVP and VSM
  • Proficient in G-Code
  • Must be able to program both Single and Dual Axis Machines
