Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in authoring and maintaining strong inventory control processes
- Manage inventory from dock to manufacturing stations with high level of accuracy and process control
- Transition warehouse from manual to automated processes to achieve higher level of accuracy and efficiency
- Manage Cycle Counts to reconcile inventory to ensure accuracy and promote process control
- Assure employees receive proper training related to inventory control and maintaining organized clean work areas
- Assure safety training for each employee and insure a safe work environment
- Assure that each employee has proper tools to complete their job duties
- Conduct employee performance evaluations/warnings
- Schedule and track daily pick operations to increase efficiency and awareness of shortages to support production line goals
- Promote Continuous Improvement activities in the warehouses
- TVP, Kaizen Activities, 5S, SWI, etc.
- All other duties assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma: associate degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience in an inventory control environment as supervisor or lead type position
- Experience with automated inventory control processes in manufacturing settings
- Strong leadership, communication, and self-motivational skills
